Piping Engineering Services

Piping layouts, 3D plant modelling, piping GA drawings, isometrics, piping specifications, MTO/BOM, pipe stress analysis and support engineering.

Piping is usually the largest share of detailed engineering effort in a process plant. CoreFlow delivers piping engineering from the design basis and material specifications through plant layout, intelligent 3D modelling, GA drawings and isometrics, to material take-offs, pipe stress analysis and pipe support engineering.

Because layout, stress and supports are handled together, routing decisions account for flexibility, nozzle loads and support steel early, which reduces rework when drawings are issued for construction. The same 3D model drives clash checks with structural, HVAC and electrical disciplines.

Piping Engineering FAQs

What does piping detailed engineering include?

Typically plot plans and equipment layouts, the 3D piping model, piping GA drawings, isometrics, line list, Piping Material Specifications, valve list and datasheets, material take-offs and BOMs, stress analysis reports and pipe support drawings.

Which lines need pipe stress analysis?

Critical lines are selected against criteria in the design basis, usually high- or low-temperature lines, large-bore lines, lines connected to pumps, compressors and other sensitive equipment, relief lines, and lines exposed to vibration, slug or seismic loads. A critical line list is the first step.

Are isometrics generated from the 3D model?

Yes. Model-based drawing extraction keeps isometrics, GA drawings and material take-offs consistent with the model, so design changes flow through every deliverable.

Do you handle brownfield piping modifications?

Yes. We prepare tie-in and battery-limit drawings, modification drawings and as-built piping drawings based on verified site information or laser-scan point clouds of the existing facility.

Can pipe stress analysis be taken as a separate scope?

Yes. Stress analysis and pipe support engineering can be scoped as a standalone package for layouts prepared by others, subject to the piping, equipment and design inputs available.
